We’re pleased to share an important update on Growing Baldock.
On 22 October, North Herts Council’s Planning Control Committee resolved to grant outline planning permission for Growing Baldock, marking a significant milestone for the project and for Baldock’s future.
The proposals include up to 3,200 new homes, 16 hectares of employment land, new schools, community facilities, transport improvements and extensive green spaces.
Thank you to everyone who has taken part in the Baldock Conversation so far. Your questions, ideas and feedback have helped shape the proposals and will continue to inform the next stages of work.
What happens next?
Over the coming months, work will continue to finalise the Section 106 agreement, which will secure the infrastructure, facilities and community benefits needed to support the new neighbourhood as it grows.
At the same time, the project team will begin developing the more detailed plans that will shape neighbourhoods, open spaces and community facilities.
There will be many more opportunities to get involved as these plans evolve. We’ll use this mailing list to share updates and opportunities for you to have your say.
We’re keen to continue the conversation and would welcome your suggestions on how we can keep local people informed and involved. If you have any ideas, questions or feedback, please just get in touch with the team.
Thank you again for being part of the Baldock Conversation. We look forward to working with the community as the project progresses.
