The Growing Baldock team are gearing up for next week’s drop-in consultation events to share the latest plans for the planned growth of the town. The growth will be in three agreed locations, set out in the approved North Hertfordshire Local Plan, which are to the north and east of the town.
The consultation will provide an opportunity to find out more and share thoughts on the latest plans, which will see up to 3,200 new homes, employment space, schools, health provision, parks, and play areas. The plans will also see new roads and cycle paths, buses and improvements to station access, as well as a Baldock Greenway that will provide a circular leisure route around the town, connecting new and existing green spaces.
There are three drop-in events to help you find out more and talk through the proposals with members of the project team:
- 10am-2pm on Saturday, 12 July at Baldock Community Centre (SG7 6HD)
- 3pm-8pm on Wednesday, 16 July at St Mary’s Church Hall, Baldock (SG7 5AD)
- 1pm to 6pm on Friday, 18 July at St Mary’s Church Hall, Baldock (SG7 5AD)
There will also be an online consultation running on the website from 12 July for four weeks here.
The feedback from the consultation will help finalise the Outline Planning Application, which will be submitted to North Herts District Council later this year.
